Alice
a devised work of The LIDA Project
writing/script assemblage Jeannene Bragg, Tami Canaday, & Brian Freeland
A performance work of a modern ‘Wonderland’ turning the Victorian fairy-tale, Alice In Wonderland towards the Internet. This production explores the text of Lewis Carroll through the digital lens. The predatory and often horrifically beautiful world of the Internet serves as the backdrop for the relationship of Carroll and his ‘child friend, the young woman that inspired the Alice stories, Alice Liddell. With the focus of these stories being shifted to the Internet, the audiences were forced to explore their own experiences in a world of “Wonderland”.
